UAN – Urea Ammonium Nitrate, Nitrogen Fertilizer – Plus Sulfur

Urea Ammonium Nitrate

UAN is a solution of urea and ammonium nitrate in water used as a fertilizer. The most commonly used grade of these fertilizer solutions is UAN 32.0.0 (32%N) also known as UN32 or UN-32, which consists of 45% ammonium nitrate, 35% urea and only 20% water. Other grades are UAN 28, UAN 30 and UAN 18.

We offer and recommend UAN 29.6-0-0-3S. This blend includes sulfur to prevent leaching of nitrogen in extreme weather conditions, while simultaneously fulfilling soil sulfur needs.

For corn: soil applied with a one-pass application before or at planting is one option. Or we can do a split application which consists of 100 lbs before or after planting and then sidedressing 50 lbs when corn is 2-4 feet tall. Our sidedress method consists of two-foot drop tubes every 30″ using a stream nozzle which is done with our row crop sprayer.
